A special programme of events dedicated to leading contemporary composer Iannis Xenakis is the first major national gesture honouring the deceased, and is part of a wide ranging plan to promote the sum of work of this renowned Greek..

The programme centres around the musical/theatrical production of “Oresteia” by Iannis Xenakis, directed by Spyros Sakkas, which will be accompanied by a small exhibition concerning the artistic course of Iannis Xenakis – from the Thomas Tamvakos Archive of Greek Composers – as well as the video installation “Cosmos X” by Effie Xerou (video) and Yiannis Zannos (sound), which will be shown from 19:00 to 21:00.
