COPYRIGHTS MANAGEMENT

Management of Photographic Material

The Benaki Museum has a special service for managing photographic material, with permanent associates who are assigned to photograph objects from the Museum Collections and to copy archival photographs.

Ordering Photographic Material

Interested parties can send an order to the Museum (by post, e-mail or fax) for photographic material (black-and-white and coloured pictures, transparencies, slides and digital images) of objects in its permanent collections and/or they can request a copy of shots taken by earlier and contemporary Greek photographers that are contained in the Museum’s Photographic Archive.

It is essential that particulars be included of the identity of the Museum object to be photographed or of the photograph from its Photographic Archive collection (source, display case, caption, photographer, etc.) as well as the use for which the requested photograph is intended (research, publication, etc.)

The photographic material is on loan to the user and must be returned within four months.
