This publication accompanies the exhibition of the same name that took place at the Benaki Museum from December 16, 2009 to January 10, 2010. It presents fifteen select commissions by architects Aristomenis and Yiorgos Varoudakis, beautifully photographed by Dimitris Kalapodas. The wealth of photographic material depicts representative architectural elements that typify their architectural choices, including elaborate wooden roofs, vivid lengthwise axes, light screen walls (claustrats) that replace the usual walls, impressive stone structures, details in stainless steel, atriums and yards that have a direct link to nature. The publication is completed with texts presenting and analysing the oeuvre of Aristomenis and Yiorgos Varoudakis, excerpts of interviews they have given, biographical notes and a complete list of works from 1979 to the present day.
