The area that hosts the studio of Yannis Pappas (1913-2005) is in the Zographou district, in the building that housed the family of this important Greek artist until the 1960s. The property, a unique example of the workspace of an artist devoted to both sculpture and painting, was donated to the Benaki Museum by his son, Alekos Pappas. The main aim of the donation was that the artist’s works remain together in their natural physical environment.
