In the spring of 2009, the Center for the Study of New Testament Manuscripts, which is headquartered in the U.S.A., in Texas, entered into a special agreement with the Benaki Museum to digitize 39 manuscripts from the collection of the Museum Library.
The content of those manuscripts was exclusively the New Testament of the Bible.
The result of this application was the production of 14,000 images, which scholars can access and study on the CSNTM website, as well as at the Benaki Museum image archive.
