The National Bank of Greece supports the operation of Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika Gallery
The National Bank of Greece supports the work of the Benaki Museum by participating in the “Adoption” sponsoring program. This opportunity enables donors to cover the costs of a Curatorial, Managerial or other position at the Museum on an annual basis.

The National Bank of Greece participates by undertaking the costs for two curatorial positions at the Nikos Hadjikyriakos – Ghika Gallery.

This innovative sponsoring opportunity allows donors to see their contribution transforming into results, while supporting in an effective way the operation of the Benaki Museum, one of the most important cultural institutions in the country. Six such adoptions have been assumed by private donors since the initiation of the program in 2014.

The participation of the National Bank of Greece in this sponsoring program is the first by a banking institution, raising the total number of Curatorial and Managerial Positions “adopted” by sponsors to eight.

Throughout the course of its entire history, the Museum has benefited from sponsorships and financial contributions in order to fulfill its multifaceted cultural mission, with responsibility, professionalism and financial self-sufficiency. The National Bank of Greece stands as a strong supporter to the Benaki Museum in this current adverse economic environment.

With its participation in the “Adoptions” program, the National Bank of Greece facilitates the Museum to remain committed to its purpose: the conservation and exhibition of its priceless collections, the research and propagation of knowledge and its growth in a critical period of its history.
