The Benaki Museum inaugurates a new program of specially designed tours for the elderly, thanks to the kind grantof TIMA Charitable Foundation. Through this initiative, the Museum provides an opportunity to KAPI (Centers of Open Protection for the Elderly) that wish to participate, to tour the Main Building’s permanent collections for free.

The program begins in January 2017 and will last a total of 12 months. . During the course ofits duration, elderly people from areas such asWestern Attica and Piraeus will have the chance to discover aspects of Greek culture and civilization from prehistory until today, guided by Museum curators. The Benaki Museum with the support of TIMA Charitable Foundation also offers participants free transportation toandfrom their KAPI, in addition to the tours.
