Fifty years after the first publication of the study by Angeliki Hatzimichali on the Sarakatsans, the Board of Trustees of the Angeliki Hatzimichali Foundation, in collaboration with the Committee which was established for the publication of this, her five-volume work, is proceeding to reissue the first volume and also to publish previously unpublished material, enriching the overall publication with a wealth of photographic material.
This work was the major oeuvre by the Greek folklorist, and its reissue contributes to a more complete and in-depth study and knowledge of the Sarakatsans.
