Presentation of the publication entitled “Nikos Skalkotas. A European Greek”, which was published to mark sixty years since the death of major Greek composer Nikos Skalkotas (1904-1949).
There will be talks about the publication by: Dimitris Agrafiotis, conductor; Haris Vrontos, composer and editor of this book; and Manos Stefanidis, lecturer at the University of Athens.
At the event the poet Kostas Sofianos will read the text “Musical Criticism” by Nikos Skalkotas, and the musicians Apollon Grammatikopoulos (violin), Marios Dapergolas (viola) and Georgia Cyprou (cello) will play Nikos Skalkotas’s String Trio (1935).
