Documentary based on colour 8-millimetre films from the nineteen fifties, which are from a family archive and are shown for the first time to the general public.
Agathocles Kypriotis, a cultured and progressive Athenian urbanite (1910-78), after a series of political adventures, found himself in Milos where he served as a manager of the barytene plant. He charmed by the local people, helped them build their lives and set up a new village, Pollonia.
From 1956 to 1962 he tirelessly filmed the people of Milos and their activities. While on Milos he married and started a family. After 17 years on the island he was forced to leave for reasons that are not clear. He is still a legend on Milos, not only for all he did for the local people but also for the issue of his removal from the barytene plant (still a cause celebre) and for the sad progression of his life thereafter.
