On the eve of the opening of
Gilbert & George’s new exhibition “Jack Freak Pictures” at the Bernier/Eliades Gallery (19/10/2009 – 09/01/2010), the artistic duo answer questions in conversation with the writer Michael Bracewell.
The two artists will go under the microscope in a discussion that aims to reveal various well and lesser known aspects of their internationally acclaimed work.
Michael Bracewell is the author of six novels and three works of non-fiction including
Perfect Tense (2001) and
England Is Mine (1997). He has written widely on modern and contemporary art, and specifically on the art of Gilbert & George. He is a regular contributor to
frieze magazine and was a Turner Prize judge in 2006.
There will be simultaneous translation in to Greek.
