Petros Themelis, Professor Emeritus in Archaeology at the University of Crete is the head of excavations and restoration at Ancient Messene since 1987. The lecture is entitled “Local societies and the management of cultural heritage. The case of Messene”.
This lecture is part of a series of lecture by distinguished scholars and academics, organised by the “Initiative for Heritage Conservancy”, whose purpose is to inform the public, researchers and students about current developments in the field of management conservation and appreciation of archaeological sites.
