The Hellenic Association of Art Critics (Association Internationale des Critiques d’ Art – Hellas) will honour the great Greek artist Vlassis Kaniaris for his active and crucial contribution to the country's intellectual life and artistic events, by awarding him the grand Prize, which does not form part of the Competition. 
The Hellenic Association of Art Critics will also award prizes to artists whose work has displayed edge and encouraged discussion, contributing fertile ideas and promoting the advancement of art issues. 
The names of the artists chosen by the selection committee, except for the Prize awarded to Vlassis Kaniaris, which is outside the boundaries of the competition, will be announced on the evening of the event. 
The judges’ committee for the 2010 Prize is made up of the members of the B.o.D. of the Association of Art Critics:
