This year’s celebration of International Museum Day has the theme "Museums for social harmony". 

The event will be marked by a greeting from Pavlos Geroulanos, Minister of Culture and Tourism, as well as the Chairperson of the Hellenic National Commitee of ICOM, Teti Hadtzinikolaou. 

Talks will be given by: Angelos Delivorrias, director of the Benaki Museum; Eleonora Skouteri-Didaskalou, associate professor of Folklore and Social Anthropology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki; Susannah Hulia-Kapeloni, head of the Directorate of Museums, Exhibitions and Educational Programmes at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Jeanette Battinou, head of the Jewish Museum of Greece.
