“… I come from the Elephant Coast”
An introduction to African Art by collector Bruno Finocchiaro

Bruno Finocchiaro was born in Libya of Italian origins. For 58 years he lived and worked in Africa, 28 of which in Ivory Coast. This is where he put together his collections of art objects from West Africa, coming into frequent contact with people from the various ethnic groups that inhabit the general region. In this current activity, the collector presents a small selection of objects from his collection to the public, explains their significance, narrates their history and remembers how they came into his possession.
