La transcripción para dos pianos
SUN 19/06/2011
Following the exceptional success of the first performance of his work by the Athens State Orchestra in July 2007, composer Filippos Tsalahouris and the Benaki Museum, with the sponsorship of the National Bank of Greece, have issued the transcription of the piece for two pianos, edited by Dionysis Boukouvalas. This version of the piece was premiered in March 2010 in Thessaloniki by pianists Titos Gouvelis and Haralambos Angelopoulos. In June 2010 the same interpreters performed the piece in the event room of the Megali tou Genous Scholi in Constantinople. This collection of 24 Greek Dances is a composition commissioned by Angelos Delivorias and the Benaki Museum to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Nikos Skalkotas.
