A talk by internationally renowned Swedish photographer, who is coming to Greece of the first time. ;
JH Engström was born in Carlstad, Sweden, in 1969 and his childhood was divided between Sweden and France. He worked as an assistant to fashion photographer Mario Testino, who initiated him in the use of mixed photographic techniques, which feature in his oeuvre to the present day. Engström is the recipient of many awards and distinctions, including the Author Book Award in 2009 at the international photography festival Les Rencontres d’ Arles Photography for his book From Back Home; and the Swedish Photo Book Prize for Shelter in 1998. JH Engström is now considered one of the major figures of the international contemporary photography scene.
