Lecture by the spanish architect Antonio Ortiz of the architectural firm Cruz y Ortiz, which constitutes part of a series of lectures on international architecture dedicated to the architecture of Spanish.

Antonio Ortiz García was born in Seville. He studied at the School of Architecture in Madrid and graduated in 1974. His professional activity began a few years previously when he joined the studio of Rafael Moneo in 1968. In 1971 he set up his own studio with Antonio Cruz, and together they have been responsible for numerous works and projects inside Spain and abroad. The extension of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, the stadium of La Cartuja in Seville and the railway station in Basle are among his best-known constructions. He received the National Architecture Award in 1993 for his design for the Santa Justa railway station in Seville. He has been a visiting teacher at prestigious international universities, and exhibitions of his work have been held in various countries including Switzerland, Germany, Italy and the United States.

Antonio Ortiz will speak about his projects. Presentation & co-ordination of the discussion by the architect Stavros Gyftopoulos, professor at the National Technical School in Athens. 

There will be simultaneous translation in to Greek.
