One-day Conference Looking East
MON 16/02/2015
The event is realised on the occasion of the exhibition "Theodoros Ralli: Looking East".
The aim of the event is to explore the way the West understands the East in the historical and cultural context of the last two centuries, as well as to examine the image of the East as projected through different representations in the arts and literature.
In addition the talks will seek to familiarise the public on issues and constant reformulations that arise from the study of the image of the East and create a constructive dialogue on the matter of “we” and “others”.
