Zafos Xagoraris, at the opening of his work Downhill Classroom, an installation designed to be presented at the atrium of the Benaki Museum, will hold a discussion with historian and Head of the Historical Archives of the Benaki Museum, Tassos Sakellaropoulos. The discussion, under the title Outdoors education during emergency conditions, will refer to the historical and theoretical frame of the installation. 
It will particularly focus on the following questions: 
What is the role of education, and especially outdoors schooling, during times of crisis? 
What is the role assumed by museums towards shaping a new vision for education? 
What is the importance of experiential learning for history and for art? 
What is the connection between education and social changes in relation to the concept of public space?

This work is one of a series entitled Artists in a dialogue with the Benaki Museum, a collaboration with the British Council.
