«… an orange tree I planted in prison I went…»

The Infanta, the knight, the garden, the palace, the silk slippers, the forbidden meeting. The king’s sword Sea

…sea, desert, swamp, prison, fire, pirates, the ravaged countryside, the battle, the fish madness. Ya kalbi khali. The patience of the heart

Words as stories’ fragments. Stories aboard songs. Melodies which tell stories. A bright orange tree. Athamra is the fruit of the dream. The new record is a journey through time and space with songs and improvisations on the music of the Mediterranean countries (Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Greece, southern France, southern Italy, Spain) as well as compositions of their own.
