The publication Words and Coins: from Ancient Greece to Byzantium constituted the accompanying catalogue of the homonymous exibition Les mots et les monnaies, de la Grèce ancienne à Byzance, which was organized by the Fondation Martin Bodmer (Cologny – Geneva, November 2012 – March 2013) in collaboration with the Benaki Museum. The publication was enriched with material from the KIKPE Numismatic Collection, which has been given on loan to the Benaki Museum. It was produced in two languages (French, English) and has a tripartite structure: a) a concise catalogue of the exhibits, following the fourteen units of the exhibition, b) a section with full-page colour plates, and c) a proœmium and ten essays that contribute by various approaches to the concept of the exhibition. 

The book will be presented by Dr Andrew Meadows, Professor of the University of Oxford.
