ZYGOS 60 years later
WED 25/11/2015
Sixty years have passed (10 November 1955 – 10 November 2015) since the first publication of Zygos, the most important and oldest (1955-1983) magazine for the fine arts in the 20th century.
The most prominent people from the Arts in Greece have contributed to its publications, while both the magazine and the Gallery, under the same name, introduced and promoted a wide range of artists for almost three decades; artists who rank amongst the most significant representatives of contemporary Greek Art still today.

Turning this anniversary into an opportunity, the Benaki Museum organizes an evening dedicated to Zygos and its creator, Frantzis Frantzeskakis (1926-2010).

Speakers:
Panayiotis Tetsis, Artist, Academic
Marina Lambraki-Plaka, Director of the National Gallery
Dimitris Pavlopoulos
Ekaterini Frantzeskaki
