The one-day conference aims at exploring the diverse aspects of Nikos Valsamakis’ work, evaluate his impression in the post-war Greek architecture and link it to the work of his contemporary architects both in Greece and in Europe, in the second half of the 20th century.

The conference will be divided in two four-hours sessions (morning and afternoon), with an interval of one and a half hour. 19 presentations will take place, each one of 17 minutes. There will be a discussion after each one of the sessions.

A catalogue will be published in the framework of the one0day conference, devoted to the three emblematic houses that Nikos Valsamakis has designed and built in the beginning of the 1960s (the houses of Parashi and Lanara in Anavissos and the house in Filothei).
The editors of the catalogue, which is bi-lingual, are Elias Constantopoulos and Panagiotis Tsakopoulos.
