The British Ambassador is nearing the end of his four-year term in Greece. He has now spent over 32 years travelling across Greece, often by foot. In this talk, he reflects, as a walker, on the relationship between landscape and narrative in Greece, using examples drawn from Pausanias, Byron and Ritsos and from different geographical regions of Greece.
