As part of the celebration of 60th anniversary of 'the Friends of the Benaki Museum', Christos Ph. Margaritis, Production Engineer NTUA, collector, historian, Head of Collections HELLAFFI (until 2000), STARLETS and Velimezis will present a collection of giant movie posters from Athens, enriched with screening of movie and documentary clips.

«When the tide of dreams began to flow in the cinema halls, when «her» tears ran down our cheeks and «his» knife was aimed at our heart, the escape commenced from that first glance we cast at the huge paintings on the façade of the cinema, which we sometimes returned to view again. For some the dream and the escape are still carried on. And some outdated romantics are still looking, at the end of the film, for the torn out remains of the giant poster. »
