Τhe Benaki Museum, just before the Christmas holidays, invites you to the Pireos street Annexe to spend a bright, festive Saturday with your family and friends with music, workshops, guided tours, numerous offers at the Shop for your gifts and culinary surprises in the spirit of the days.

At the renewed space of PIREOS 138 you will have the chance to enjoy and explore musical sounds though eight different ensembles of young musicians from the Underground Youth Orchestra (see the programme HERE) until early in the afternoon, as well as give in the musical choices of Larry Gus until late at night. Try out the special festive menu, warm beverages, wine and seasonal soups, curated for you by Deipnosofistirion catering and choose your gifts from the Shop’s Bazaar, taking advantage of the special prices.

WORKSHOPS
Let's everybody trust Christos Chouseas, bartender and owner of the bar 42, and participate in two of his workshops which will introduce you to the magical world of cocktails:
Secret recipes for festive cocktails (for adults) (13:00)
Get the secret recipes of a bartender, prepare your own cocktails before and after the festive table and surprise your guests.
Dancing Flavours and Senses (for children from 5 to 95 years old)  (16:00)
A workshop for children and their parents on the magic of flavors and how they embrace our senses.

Swop, a laser cutting workshop and a creative agency, will be at Pireos for their Dodecahedron Swop Christmas Special workshop (13:00 & 15:00). Come and participate in this workshop which combines 3D paper constructions and painting. The children create their own Christmas themes on white 12-sided (dodecahedron) “balls”.

Squares, circles, triangles: the magical spaces of Opy Zouni (12:00 & 16:00)
A unique experience! While the major exhibition of the Greek artist Opy Zouni is still being prepared, the Educational Programmes of the Museum organize a festive workshop for children next to the artist’s works. Geometry and imagination, shapes of all kinds create exciting spaces and invite us to explore them. For art lovers of 5 years olds and up.

GUIDED TOURS
Come and wander in the world of the great Greek painter Yianni Tsarouchi, under the guidance of Niki Grypari, director of the Yiannis Tsarouchis Foundation, in the major exhibition “Yannis Tsarouchis. Illustrating an autobiography. Second Part (1940-1989)” (11:00 & 16:00).
Re-discover the Athens you know through 520 different photographic lenses in the exhibition “ATHENA THEA / ATHENS VIEWS”, guided by the artist and curator Yianna Andreadi (14:00).
