The Benaki Museum, seeks to honour and highlight the work of cultural organizations in the Greek provinces and Cyprus through a series of events that focus on the study and promotion of culture. In line with this and, for the 14th year running, the Benaki Museum will celebrate the International Museum Day with an event honoring the A.G. Leventis Gallery.

There will be talks about the A.G. Leventis Gallery. by:

Angelos Delivorrias, Academic - Emeritus Professor at University of Athens
Fotini Papadopoulou, Commissioner of the A.G. Leventis Foundation
and Loukia Louizou Hadjigavriel, Director of the A.G. Leventis Gallery

The welcome speech will be given by Maria Panayides Educational Counsellor of Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus.

The event will be followed by a screening of the short film entitled "Leventis Art Gallery - Vision and Creation", as well as the video interviews of Paul Dujardin, Artistic Director of Bozar, Brussels, and Wim Van Der Weiden, President of the European Museum Academy (EMA).
