The Athens State Orchestra returns to the Benaki Museum with this year’s chamber music cycle “Musical walks through Museums”, as continuation of their long time cooperation.
Four concerts of the musical ensembles of the A.S.O. will take place at the four buildings of the Benaki Museum, buildings which host different collections and events. Just before the concerts, curators of the Benaki Museum will offer visitors the opportunity to acquaint themselves with the collections through themed guided tours.

The violin and the piano, though very different instruments in terms of their construction and the way in which they are played, have always been the most compatible of musical companions. Indeed, their every encounter can be relied upon to set the musical sparks flying! This evening’s programme includes well-known works, but also delves into less frequented corners of the vast piano and violin repertoire, covering a chronologically broad range, too, from 18th-century classicism to the 20th century.
