International Museum Day 2018: "Shedia" Street Magazine at the Benaki Museum
SUN 20/05/2018
On the occasion of the celebration of the 2018 International Museum Day, with the theme "Hyperconnected museums: New approaches, new publics", the Benaki Museum “visits” 138 Pireos St. with the greek street paper SHEDIA (www.shedia.gr), presenting the paper’s activity and its contribution to society. Through up-cycling and comic writing workshops, screenings, photographic exhibitions as well as a series of experiential discussions with the people of SHEDIA and their collaborators, the audience will have the opportunity to discover the world of SHEDIA and to be informed on the philosophy, story and evolution of the magazine.

At the same time, a new collaboration is launched between the Benaki Museum Shop and ‘shedia art’ (www.shediaart.gr), the new project of "Shedia", a deeply social and profound environmental program which builds on and promotes up-cycling.
