Within the framework of the exhibition The Future as a Project | Doxiadis in Skopje, a one-day international conference will take place at Benaki Museum / Pireos 138 on the opening day (17.12.2018). The earthquake that devastated Skopje and its consequence, changes in local and regional geography, new architectural visions and the international cooperation will be presented through the disciplines of history, architecture, urbanism and sociology.

The conference will begin in 15:00 and end at 19:30, and will be followed by the opening of the exhibition (at 20:00).

Both the exhibition and its accompanying events are organised by the Hellenic Institute of Architecture and the Museum of the city of Skopje within the framework of ‘Athens 2018-World Book Capital’ by the City of Athens, with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. The exhibition material has been contributed mainly by the C.A.Doxiadis Archives of the Constantinos and Emma Doxiadis Foundation, the Museum of the City of Skopje, and the personal collection of Ana Ivanovska Deskova, Jovan Ivanovski and Vladimir Deskov.
