Book presentation for the first facsimile edition of the epic poem ODYSSEY by Nikos Kazantzakis, printed in a large format in December 1938.
The facsimile edition is accompanied by the ten-page facsimile of the VOCABULARY OF THE ODYSSEY, which was drawn up by Nikos Kazantzakis himself.
The book has been augmented with an ADDENDUM containing manuscripts by the poet: the Chronicle of writing the ODYSSEY, a Summary of the ODYSSEY, as well as twelve verses from the Prologue, from the third draft of the poem.

The presentation will include talks by the following:
Stylianos Alexiou – Professor Emeritus at the University of Crete;
Eleni Politou-Marmarinou – Professor of Neo-Hellenic Philology and Head of the Department of Philology at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens; and
Eleutheria Yiakoumaki – Linguist, Director of the Research Centre for Neohellenic Dialects and Idioms at the Academy of Athens.
Actress Anna Synodinou will recite excerpts from the ODYSSEY and composer Manos Mountakis will sing excerpts from the epic set to his own music.
