A musical evening will transport us to “Sappho’s garden”, with Mariza Koch singing the melodies she absorbed from this great lyric poet. The poems were translated by Yiannis Karvelas and will be recited by actress Eva Kotamanidou. Elias Vamvakousis will sing the poem about Timas, and on most songs, Nikos Economidis accompanies Mariza Koch.

This is a work composed by Mariza Kock at the dawn of this century that will now by circulated the recording company VERSO music (www.verso.gr).

A 30 minute documentary film will be shown at the start of the evening; entitled “Mariza Koch – Ten years of song”, was filmed in 1977 and was dedicated by Nikos Koundouros to the singer.
