The works published by the Foundation, in either printed or electronic format, fall into two categories: (a) catalogues and albums of exhibitions; and (b) studies. The thematic axes of the publications mirror the physiognomy and the main axes of the areas on which the museum focuses: Prehistoric, Ancient Greek and Roman art, the Byzantine world, modern Greek art and tradition, Greek and European art, architecture, civilizations of the world, photography and educational programmes.
At the same time, the "Benaki Museum Library" series, which mainly contains studies, conference minutes and the results of scientific research on items belonging to the Benaki Museum, has been organised.
In addition, the Benaki Museum has been publishing its own annual journal (Benaki Museum) since 2001, and since 2007 it has been co-published with "Melissa" Publications’ magazine Ta Historica.
