It includes extensive scholarly descriptions, as well as an analysis of the chemical composition of Islamic glass. Detailed analyses are likewise made of undecorated blown glass, glass blown into a mould, thermally processed glass, mosaic glass, carved and incised glass, painted glass, as well as themes such as glass-making in the age of the emperors and imitations of Islamic glass pieces.
