The volume “Natalia Mela” circulated in March 2008 on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name by this major Greek sculptor, organised by the Benaki Museum (26 March – 4 May 2008). It presents works from her rich and multi-dimensional artistic oeuvre, ordered in thematic groupings: Roosters, tools, bipeds / quadrupeds, warriors, myths, heads, monuments, relief carvings, set designs, collages and hulls.
The book includes texts by Alekos Levidis, Takis Theodoropoulos, Ismini Kapantai and Nelly Andrikopoulou, which were written for this edition. Finally, it also re-issues an old text by Angelos Delivorrias, as well as a art-criticism of one of her exhibitions by Dimitris Pikionis, (from the magazine Zygos, 1963). The volume also includes a detailed timeline and a complete catalogue of her works.
