Catalogue which accompanies the exhibition of the same name taking place at the Orthodox Centre of the Ecumenical Patriarchate in Geneva (03/02/2011 - 24/07/2011). The introductory texts are written by Dr. Renée Hirschon, Senior Research Fellow at St.Peter’s College, University of Oxford; Ioanna Petropoulou, historian at the Centre for Asia Minor Studies; and Anna Ballian, catalogue editor. They refer to the 1923 exchange of populations and the ecclesiastical relics that refugees carried with them to Greece from Eastern Thrace, Cappadocia, the Black Sea, as well as other areas they were forced to flee. The catalogue presents 90 objects in the exhibition, each with a full-page photograph, an explanatory text and bibliography.
